{Psst..I recorded a special video message from the beach
for you at the end of today’s post}
I’ve been dreaming about it from the very beginning.
From the moment I began putting pen to paper — to write about the unexpected, beautiful journey to find rest — I’ve dreamed of doing this with you.
In this quiet space, we can pull up a chair and enjoy a soulful brew of encouragement together. We slow, swap stories and brainstorm ideas to make rest our heart’s everyday home.
Are you longing for rest? (me too)
What doest rest look like in your season of life? And what holds you back? We were made for more than just surviving — going on auto-pilot mode — exhausted and soul-weary.
We were created as God’s works of art. And beautiful art needs lots of whitespace. To breathe. Just like a beautiful painting needs whitespace for colors and images to come alive on the canvas, we need rest. To be known and real.
Well, I’ve been preparing something extra special for us!
To make our journey into the new year refreshed with rest and invigorated with a more intimate connection with God and each other, I’m hosting a book club. A virtual soul cafe.
To launch the new year, I am hosting an online Spiritual Whitespace Book Club in January 2015.
This will be an intimate gathering to read through my newly released book together — Finding Spiritual Whitespace: Awakening Your Soul to Rest — to uncover our stories and explore how you can create space for rest uniquely in your season of life.
And you’re invited!
So pull up a chair and prioritize your well-being. Start the new year soul refreshed. Let’s be kindreds.
The 411
The book club is free. If you don’t have a copy of the book yet, order your copy here or put it on your Christmas wish list!
Thinking of a friend? Gift a copy to a friend for Christmas and do the book club together!
Book Club Start Date: January 22, 2014
To be a part of the book club:
{ } All you need to do is like my Facebook page, then stop by in January and participate as it works for you. You can read the book club posts there. We’ll be going through the book in the winter. Join in the discussion anytime.
{ } If you feel prompted, invite 1-4 friends to read and meet together in-real-life once a week to journey through the book.
If you host an in-real-life Spiritual Whitespace Book Club gathering, you’ll get some extra goodies:
1. A Real-live Q&A Skype Session with me. I’ll Skype into one of your gatherings. We’ll see each other live and sip decaf or tea together! I’ll do as many as I can.
2. A Special Group Discussion Guide with extra, bonus resources/tools to enjoy with your group.
3. Membership in a Private Facebook Group Exclusively for Book Club Host. I’ll add you to a private Facebook Group to offer extra community and support.
Click here to sign up as a Book Club Host and receive these 3 extra goodies!
Do you know friends who long for rest in this stress-frayed, fast-paced life also? Share today’s post with them. Invite and bring them along. I’d love to meet them! Rest is such an organic, personal journey. I wonder what we’ll discover together?
Something Extra Special For You
I can’t wait to do this soulful book club together!
Say yes to rest in the new year.
Nurture the you God created. Feed your soul. Uncover your story.
To make the invitation extra special, I drove out to a very special place to share my heart. It’s one of my favorite spiritual whitespaces.
Click below to watch this video I recorded on the beach just for you:
Remember, to be part of the book club, all you need to do is like my Facebook page. And join in the discussion beginning January 22, 2015.
Like beautiful sand dollars washing up onto shore, let’s return to rest.
Savor the quiet. And reawaken your heart.
Let’s become the beloved. Just rest.
You and me.
Let’s do it. Let’s awaken and refresh our souls with rest.
Let’s be Spiritual Whitespace Book Club Kindreds.
~~~~~
How will you say yes to your journey in the new year?
Begin it with rest. Together. Do something different and soulful with me. I can’t wait!
Pull up a chair. Click to comment. I’d love to hear from you today about all this!
Remember to invite your friends to join us! Psst… you can use these soul beautiful pins and banners — on your blog, on Instagram, Pinterest, or Facebook — to spread the word about the book club and invite your friends.
If you’re hosting a Spiritual Whitespace Book Club, I’ll provide you with a blank version to use as invitations, so you can customize it with your unique meeting info.
Want to hear a total God-send story? Photographer Katie Monroe created these soul beautiful graphics before she even saw the video! She mysteriously sent them to me as a surprise gift. I cried a little seeing them, blessed by the grace of kindreds. Thank you Katie for such sweet kindness!
I would love to do this with you, Bonnie. I’ll have to pray about my time commitments first though. Either way, I hope it will go well for those who do get to do it. I’m sure it will be a blessing to all. The message in your book will continue to ripple out in beautiful ways!
